Biometrics Technologies Defined

Identifying individual’s own unique characteristics can be done in order to secure its data protection and privacy is the biometrics.  The Biometrics is a technology that is the most convenient and safest way in identification.  At the start of the new century, terror attack escalate and a latest surge of urgency is now  felt in improving individual’s identification across the board.  Technology in Biometrics is now a commercial consciousness same as mobile phones, computers, laptops and other home appliance can be now engaged in this awesome technology.

As of today, there are two categories fall under t biometrics.  The first one is physiological biometrics and the other one is the behavioral biometrics.  The physiological includes finger print, hand, face, DNA and iris.  The behavioral includes voice signature and keystroke.  As these two categories are concern, they have their own advantages and disadvantages.

The four sensor designs that is capable to detect a person’s fingerprint identification includes passive capacitance, optical, active capacitance and ultrasonic.  One accurate identifications  is the iris recognition which consider as one of the most accurate means when identifying individual.  The techniques of standard photography can utilize facial recognition.  It is measured by the photograph operator in the distance between the face characteristics like: pattern of hairline, outside corner of eyes and center pupils.  The DNA recognition was develop in resolving crimes,  making the innocent people free from jail and pointing the true guilty person in the crime scene.  But DNA can take along time for the results.
